African educators had the opportunity to learn about how HIV/AIDS, and other subjects they teach, are taught. They also had the opportunity to speak in the schools about local culture and current education and health issues in their respective countries. African educators also had the opportunity to examine the structure that lies behind the U.S. educational system, including the role of a school board, a Parent-Teacher Association, and a student council, and how partnerships with local nonprofits and businesses assist schools.
