The students
and teachers of Sunnyside Elementary School in Pullman, Washington hosted
Mrs. Ashraf Ali from Karachi, Pakistan for her two-week iEARN CIVICS exchange
program. The students describe her visit on their web
site:
"We showed Mrs. Ashraf Ali our artwork for our iEARN Global Art Project "A Sense of Caring." We painted pictures about how we care about each other, our families, our pets, and our friends.
"We made an envelope for Mrs. Ashraf Ali to take some of our Global Art "Sense of Caring" paintings and writing to her students in Karachi, Pakistan. They will send us email when they receive our artwork. They will send us paintings and writing about caring.
"We showed Mrs. Ashraf Ali our comfort quilts and she read our website pages about our comfort quilt project. We showed her how we make the comfort quilt squares with fabric crayons. On her last day at Sunynside School, we presented her with a comfort quilt for her to take to the Pediatric Center at a Karchi Hospital where we hope it brings comfort to children who are in the hospital.
