October 21 – 23, 2010

From October 21-23, 70 teachers and students from across Argentina gathered in Unquillo, Córdoba for a national Adobe Youth Voices workshop and exhibition of student work.  The event was organized by School IPEM No. 23 “Lino Enea Spilimbergo” and Fundación Evolución, and sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the province.

The participants, all active in the Adobe Youth Voices program as part of a global partnership between the Adobe Foundation and iEARN, came from the provinces of Buenos Aires, Chubut, Córdoba, La Rioja, Neuquén, Santa Fe and San Juan. In addition to training workshops, a film festival was held at the local cinema, which was opened for AYV participants and students to share media they have created as part of Adobe Youth Voices.  Following each film, student producers and directors explained the context and why they had decided to make it.

It was a great opportunity for students to meet and share experiences, plans and expectations.  Unquillo is a place well known for its art and artists, which the local people shared with enthusiasm.   The support and commitment of teachers, students and Principals of School Ipem 23 and Institute Nuestra Señora de Lourdes were key and outstanding.
