Dear Belinda,
In your message, you talked about how you're parents
won't recycle garbage and that your grandmother refuses to
use a microwave. You ended by saying that "I wonder how much
more technology our world can cope with." I think one thing
that you neglect to realize here is that YOU can use the
microwave and that YOU don't mind taking out the garbage to
be recycled. My point is this; Our world will continue
forever to produce new technology (we have no choice in the
matter, it is human nature to discover and invent things),
and the generation of people who create the technology
will always know how to use it and benefit from it.
Technology is here to stay and will continue to grow in the
future. We have to, and should, live with it.
