The only thing that I would add is that while people do make mistakes, it seems to me that they have even a greater capacity to rectify them. For example, as long as people know something bad is happening to the environment (such as with ozone depletion or rainforest destruction) and see the need for change, technology will always be able to find a cure. P.S. I have a question for further discussion: As Health Care improves people will start living longer and longer. How can we deal with this inevitable increase in the world's population? It seems inevitable that the population will outgrow the capacity of the planet to house/feed humanity; do you think can anything be done to deal with this problem Dan London - grade 11
