To Dan. I would just like to comment on your note to Rachel about
the next millenium. One of the things you stated was the fact
that people are learning from their mistakes. We may be heading in
the right direction in some regards, but it's only human nature to
make mistakes and, and as soon as one is solved, another
undoubtedly takes it's place. I'm not trying to be depressing-
certain advancements have been made that have helped with the
advancements of humanity- we now realise that washing and general
hygine is not the demon that it once was, that epilepsy isn't the
curse of the devil and that dropping an atomic bomb will cause
more hurt, than hindrence. The billions of dollars needed to
dismantle the nuclear arsenals around the world will no doubt go
toward a good purpose, but what about future warfare? We may tend
to over-estimate our our importance on earth, but who knows that
what we do today will happen tomorrow. We all tend to think about
our own lifespan, not what lays around the corner. 90 odd years
ago, people couldn't even dream up t stuff that we do today on the
internet and with computer. Thats basically it,hope you can
reply.
