Hi Dan
I have the feeling that there will always be something to talk
about, no matter what the topic is, no matter whether we agree or
not.

As a matter of interest, on Australia day about a year or so ago,
we had these really wierd people who were claiming that the world
was coming to an end on that day.  Most of Australia laughed at
them, and the people who were involved were interviewed and
laughed at even more. They claimed that Nostradamous had written
it so. Everyone held their beath on the coundown to the last night
the world would see, and when it diddnt happen, these people came
out and said they must of got it wrong and apoligised for any
damage that might of occured.  I think that one went down in the
Australia tries to Forget file. Noe those people were
pessimistic.

You have asked the right person on the theory of ET's. Actually,
Belinda Lee and I were discussing this in a boring lesson of
History one time.  It would be actually quite short sighted to
think that we are the only living things, anywhere outthere.  May
I refer to the early explorers who thought that the world was flat
and hat you would end up falling off the end of it if you went far
enough?  Or maybe it is just really frightening to think that we
are really, really, really alone... I am to hope that if these
ET's ever did mke contact, they would treat us with a little more
respect than what the 'civilised world' showd the rest of the
planet when they set out.  I have a fairly good knowledge of ET
sightings, I became quite a little collector of books about the
extrordinary when I was a kid, (than, and I am a regular viewer of
the X-Files) but I has been proved that thee are millions of other
universes out there, and whos to say that whoever lives on them is
probale way more advanced than we are.  I can't see Governments
putting away millions of $ just 'incase' an ET decides to pop in,
and obviously researchers are funded for what they do,  but when
the time comes, there is probably good reasoning for a back up
plan. ("To the bomb shelters everyone, and don't forget your gas
maskes and purified Evian water, the aliens are upon us!!!Run for
you lives!!)

I have a faily light view on the whole thing, though.  I hope
there is something (nice) out there other than space, And I hope
we get a fair warning when it comes
