/* Written 6:14 AM Jan 19, 1996 by coldspring in igc:iearn.tc */ With regard to the question of access to the Internet widening the "opportunity gap" between rich and poor kids, I think that it is a fact that many poor schools and their students are being placed at a disadvantage in this regard. How can a poor family afford a computer and a subscription to America Online? Not being able to afford such things limits the education of such students, and, more importantly, when they get out into the real world they won't have the same advantages as other people so therefore they might see their job opportunities limited. I would like to know if other students (or teachers) agree with me, and, if so, what can be done about this problem. Jeff Mon - grade 9 Cold Spring Harbor HS NY
