The Need for the Internet (r)

I think that Cyberspace and the Internet is hyped-up too
much by the media. The media makes the Internet seem like
this extremely intence place of all good. I do agree that the
internet is wonderful place where someone can browse the
pages of people all over the world. The Internet has its
good parts and its bad parts.

Being a Junior at High School has made me aware of the
immense possiblities for an essay and the different places to
get information. Netscape makes looking for and finding
the information that I need twice as easy as if I had to look
in a book for the things that I need. Using the Internet has
also made me aware of all the different opinions that people
have when it comes to using it.

Netscape has listings for all types of things that are needed.
Peoples backgrounds and pictures also make it easier to look at
the page, instead of always looking at black typing on a white
page. Pages on the net make it faster to absorb it all. When
reading a book it may take up to two weeks to read it all.
Reading a page may take about five to ten minutes. The
internet also makes it easier to mail letters to people even
on the other side of the world in just minutes. It also makes a
place that people of all kinds of backgrounds and races can meet.
Being a pen pal to someone on the Net is fun because each person
may live in totally different places in the world. It also breaks
down some of the barriers that talking to someone in person has.
Someone that is White can have meaningful conversations with someone
that is Black that they might not normally have in person.
