From ACES High School: By Desiree Schneider 1. In my opinion using the internet in classrooms is the way of the future in terms of student learning. What I mean by that is that I think the internet will be used more in classrooms of today in order to teach children how to prepare for their future. Information will be processed onto the internet and the kids will need to learn how to access and use this information instead of just sitting at a desk with just a book. The internet is very useful for research projects. In a traditional classroom I would not have learned how to get onto the internet or how to find information on-line. I wouldn't have learned how to send e-mail messages either . I've found all sorts of neat things on-line. I recently was doing a report on mummification, and all I did for the information was get on the internet type in mummification and the information appeared before me. I believe that using the internet would be beneficial for all students . I believe that if more students had access to the internet then handouts and worksheets could be virtually eliminated. For the time being I feel that the internet is only accessible to those who have a lot of money. This is wrong and should be changed. Also, many schools don't use it because of the inappropriate materials which can be found, though this really too bad because there are so many good materials for students that can be found on the internet.
