STUDENTS: Technology's Value to Me (r)

To all students andt eachers who have replied to the
questions posted in the iearn.govs teleconference:

Our names our Mike Romanelli and Tami Thompson, and we're
juniors at Cold Spring Harbor HS in NY and co-editor of The
Contemporary, a telecommunications-based, global news/views
magazine.  We would like to propose that we use this
conference not just as a place to post messages about
experiences in using telecommunications and about where we
think this technology is heading, but also to reply to each
other's postings and discuss among ourselves the future of
the internet in our nation's schools and beyond.  We plan to
devote an entire section of the next issue of TC to this
subject, and would love to include your views on it and your
responses to what others have said in the govs conference.
If anyone would like to submit an article about this topic,
that would be fine too.

We hope we get some responses to this message and that we
will all be able to use the govs conference to learn more
about the educational uses of the internet and the net's
place in the future of education.
