The importance of computers in our educational system
can hardly be over-stated.  I think the internet will become
a basic part of the vast majority of schools in the next
decade.  Information and communication will become more
Personally, I have learned a lot through the internet
this past semester as part of a project I'm working on for my
Public Affairs class.  I'm serving as an "e-mail
correspondent for The Contemporary (an internet based news
magazine produced at my school), and in this role I've been
able to exchange of ideas with people all over the world on a
wide range of important issues.  Without the internet, these
links and experiences would have been impossible for a
student like myself.
