STUDENTS: Technology's Value to Me (r)

(written by iearn@iearn.org, 03/25/1996)

Hello all,
****************************************************

My name is James (JJ) Hughes. I live in Franklin Square NY. I
am 13 years old and am representing the H.Frank Carey High School
Ecology Council. These are my answers to the questions posted.

The potential role of the internet in eduction is to provide
students with another source of information. When students are
given training in how to access the information they can find millions
of bytes of infomation. All a student needs is to know how to use
a web browser and a gopher browser and to send e-mail. With training
in those subjects a student can find 10 times as more info than in a
encyclopedia

Now that I have learned to use state-of-art telecommunications
software and hardware I think I have increased my chances of getting a
great job.

Learning can be increased dramasticly by technology. Video phones are
used for students in different parts of the world to see and talk to
each other about ways to save the environment and ways to make
education fun.

Thank you for taking the time to read my opinion
