iEARN-Yemen teams up with Save the Children on workshops in Aden and Lahj

The iEARN-Yemen team is conducting three workshops in the Aden and Lahj governorates to support the Inclusive Education Project, for which Save the Children adapts iEARN as a component.

From April 1-9, 2012, the iEARN-Yemen team trained 12 educators and 42 students from Aden and Lahj on essential life skills, community-based projects design and management as well as iEARN in two separate workshops. The 42 participants were not yet active members in iEARN and are now working on 6 community-based projects that will be presented in the project’s Open Day event taking place next summer.

From March 12-15 2012, the iEARN-Yemen team trained 10 educators and 28 students from Lahj on essential life skills, community-based projects design and management as well as iEARN. These 38 participants also were not yet active members in iEARN and are working on 5 community-based projects that will be presented in the project’s summer Open Day event.

The project is funded by Save the Children and supervised by SOUL for Development, the umbrella organization of iEARN-Yemen.
