UPDATES
ON TSUNAMI RELIEF!
STUDENTS
IN TAIWAN HELP TSUNAMI-AFFECTED SCHOOLS. In June, all
of the special education teachers and most of the special
needs students in the Ho Ping Elementary School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan,
worked together to hold a charity bazaar in their school. The charity
bazaar includes foods selling, a traditional game, and a flea market.
Many teachers and students in other classes donated their money
and materials
for this activity. Jennifer
Yu writes "We also felt very moved that some of our students'
parents and another iEARN teacher and her senior high students came
to help us. We spent half a day for this bazaar and almost everything
was sold out. Our special needs students learnt a lot from this project
and they felt happy to be
able to help others, sending about US$790 to Project H.O.P.E." Here
is their project website: http://blog.yam.com/yoyo_jane0710/ You
can see the photos of the whole project here.
Information on Project H.O.P.E. Is at: http://www.iearn.org/projects/operationhope.html

a meaningful difference
to the health and welfare of the planet. Please visit the survey
