MGDs - Only with your Voice logo1. MDGs-ONLY WITH YOUR VOICE FACILITATOR TEAM DESIGNS ACTION GUIDE. The guide is meant to help teachers implement the project with their students. This Action Project is scheduled to run for 8 months starting the first week of October. It's available on the MDGs forum. If you are interested in themes related to the MDGs contact the team: Muhammad Salman (Pakistan), Mostafa Nejati (Iran), Shaimaa Atef (Egypt), and Ms.Naila (Pakistan). 2. FROM REVOLUTION TO CIVIL WAR PROJECT STARTING ACTIVITIES IN ONE MONTH. Look for activities in the project forum starting in mid-November. We will be looking at revolutions (causes, results etc.) in different countries. http://media.iearn.org/projects/conflict. Contact Andrea Perrin in the USA.

3. GLOBAL HeART WARMING MURAL PROJECT. This project will produce a large scale permanent mural that will inspire and educate young people about global warming and their responsibility to preserve the environment. Contact Tsipi Ben-Haim in the USA. http://www.cityarts.org.

4. PIECES OF PEACE MOSAIC WITH YOUTH FROM AROUND THE WORLD. Designed to build bridges of international understanding by bringing together children to create an online mosaic of tile-size drawings, paintings, and poems. Contact Tsipi Ben-Haim in the USA.

5. TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE PROJECT DISCUSSIONS BEGINNING SOON. Join in a serious examination of the legacy of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade ( TST) to increase awareness, study its causes and its consequences which include the immense contributions made by Africa to the social, cultural and economic development of the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe, and to help eliminate modern forms of slavery and racism. 11. 2007 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LEARNING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN THE E-SOCIETY. In cooperation with National Science and Technology Museum and National Kaohsiung Normal University, iEARN-Taiwan will co-host this gathering from Oct.20 and 21. In this conference, about 80 Taiwan teachers, educators, gradate students and also international teachers from Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia will gather together to discuss various topics on PBL, Learning Program Development in the E-Society. 12. iEARN-AUSTRALIA PRESENTING WORKSHOP AT LATROBE UNIVERSITY, NOVEMBER 13. Please welcome them to the world of iEARN by posting a message in the Teachers Forum.

13. YOUTHCAN 2008. Event scheduled for April 7, 2008 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, USA. 15. JOIN iEARN-UZBEKISTAN JULY 12-18 IN BUKHARA FOR THE 15TH ANNUAL iEARN CONFERENCE. Check out the new conference website, developed by iEARN-Uzbekistan youth with help of iEARN-Uzbekistan team! http://www.iearn2008.uz/. Be patient as the site loads, and you will be rewarded with a version of "Hotel California" played on the national Uzbekistani musical instrument called "rubab." An html version of the website will be available soon.
