1. FLASH OVERVIEWS OF iEARN PROJECTS IN iEARN. These flash video provides an excellent outline of an iEARN project in action. Thanks to Mali Bickley and Jim Carlton in Canada for these resources.

2. MOROCCAN CLASS SEEKING PENPALS. A teacher in Laayoune (city in southern Morocco) is seeking penpals for students aged 16-20 who are studying English. They are looking forward to having new friends and exchanging views with them on different issues. They're currently posting messages in the "Day in the Life" project about wedding customs in their country (see here). Interested teachers can contact Mohamed Lehjef.

3. STUDENTS UNLIMITED PROJECT WELCOMES NEW PARTICIPANTS! Join students around the world in a global service project. The Students Unlimited Project is an ongoing project with action plans and guides that are flexible and allow teachers to find their own vision. See here or contact the facilitator, Elgohary Helal, in Egypt.

4. EYE TO EYE ARTWORK FROM AROUND THE WORLD. Eye to Eye is a global student-produced postcard exchange. See recent contributions from East Jerusalem at http://media.iearn.org/v/Activities/eyetoeye/ and join in with artwork from your class!

5. iEARN-EGYPT ALUMNI CREATE ONLINE MAGAZINE. The iEARN-Egypt Outreach Committee announced this week the first student magazine available online at: http://www.iearnegypt.org/magazine/. The online magazine is created entirely by students and features sections such as, "Success Stories," "Speak Out", and "Inspirational Quotes by Alumni," as well as information on happenings in the network and how to get involved in online collaborative projects. iEARN-Egypt has developed a democratically elected Student Board that is responsible for outreach and other program-related activities, including Alumni, Community Projects, Outreach, Professional Development, and IT. The Student Board elected for a two-year term, with the next elections scheduled in 2008.

6. COUNTDOWN TO iEARN's 20th ANNIVERSARY! Share your experience of iEARN project work, and read a recent post from Zahra in Iran. The Anniversary Forum can be found via http://www.iearn.org/anniversary/.

7. "TWO RIVERS, ONE WORLD" iEARN EDUCATOR WORKSHOPS IN BANGLADESH, INDIA, AND NEPAL, DECEMBER 3-14, 2007. iEARN-Bangladesh, iEARN-India, iEARN-Nepal, and iEARN-USA are working in partnership with the Center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education (CIESE) at Stevens Institute of Technology New Jersey, USA and the WaterKeeper Alliance, NYC, USA to conduct the Four Rivers, One World Project. The project is made possible through support from the Office of Citizen Exchanges within the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State. 8. YOUTHCAN 2008, APRIL 7, 2008. Event scheduled for April 7, 2008 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, USA. See http://www.youthcanworld.org for details of this and other YouthCaN events happening around the world. YouthCaN is a year-round network within iEARN of students using telecommunications for environmental project work. Join the YouthCaN forum.

nyds_logos17. NATURAL DISASTER YOUTH SUMMIT 2008. This year's theme: Global Warming and Disaster Reduction. NDYS 2008 International Conference will be held in Trinidad and Tobago in April 2008. Check out a recent video feature of Abe Fergusson, a youth leader working with iEARN-Trinidad and Tobago on NDYS right here.
