colaboaritivo Internacional, donde las comunidades educativas intercambian,
reflexionan y generan actividades y proyectos que contribuyan a modificar
la realidad local y global para lograr una cultura fundamentada en
la paz. En el a–o 2.000, participaron escuelas de Argentina, Colombia,

SPANISH
SPEAKERS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN LAWS OF LIFE PROJECT, in
its 3rd. edition. In this project, students discuss, discover and
express their values in the form of essays, and explain why they chose

LIFE PROJECT. Started and moderated by a team of
young people from India and Bulgaria in the age group 16 - 18 yrs.

SCHOOLNET E LEARNING AWARDS 2001. The 2001 European
Schoolnet eLearning Awards are designed to show how teachers are successfully
using technology to improve teaching and learning in schools across
Europe. They reward innovation that increases learning opportunities

ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE. April 30, 2001, New York
City, USA. Students facilitate an online network of students using
telecommunications technologies to undertake and/or share environmental

AFICA CONNECTS
CONFERENCE - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN The Western
Cape Schools' Network, SchoolNet SA, and the International Education
and Resource Network (I*EARN) are pleased to announce that the registration
for the AFRICA CONNECTS Conference is now open. You will find find
the online registration form and relevant information on http://ac.wcape.school.za/
Please register using the online registration form. Even though you
may have given us some details earlier with regard to getting more
information, it is important that you fill in the new online registration
form. If it is not possible for you to look at the website and you
would like a registration form sent to you, or if you have any other
queries, please contact us at info@ac.wcape.school.za.
The AFRICA CONNECTS Conference is to be held in Cape Town, South Africa
in July 2001, and promises to be the benchmark conference of its type
in Africa. We anticipate that 1000 teachers and students will come
from throughout the African continent and another 500 will come from
around the world. Participation is open to all educators who are share
an interest in enhanced learning through on-line project-based learning.
AFRICA CONNECTS is sponsored by MWeb and Microsoft SA. PLEASE NOTE:
The I*EARN Conference is being held in parallel to and in conjunction
with the Africa Connects Conference. The I*EARN Conference starts
on Sunday, July 8 with registration and an evening activity, and finishes
on Friday, July 13.
