Goods of Straw (Soligorsk gymnasium).
Bread is a source of life. Everybody knows it. We appreciate bread very much and respect people who work in the fields and grow crops for us.
From ancient time people use grain for baking tasty bread and cakes. People to make beautiful gifts also use straw. Our school has the club where children learn to make pictures using straw material. We want to describe the technology of making pictures of straw. Technology.Step1. Looking for material.
We use barley and oats straw. We gather it before harvest time (at the beginning of August). We cut crops to the root, take stalks and dry them.
Step2. Preparing the material.
Colors of straw may be different: white, yellow, and grey. It depends upon the weather in summer. We use straw of all colors. We cut straw into pieces, put into water and then brain them into ribbons.
Step3. Making a sketch in a piece of paper.
Step4. Making a picture of straw material.
We divide the paper sketch into details, glue straw on them. When the details became dry we take them, gather as it was on the paper sketch and glue on a piece of plywood with a fabric on it.
Our picture is ready.
The beauty of the picture depends upon composition, accuration.
