Tigers Online!

An I*EARN Tiger Conservation Project by Students

in China, Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan

Project Advisor: Martin A. Burnett, Project Advisor

This project brings together students in the I*EARN global network with the resources of the American Musuem of Natural History in New York City. Students research the history of the decline in tiger populations and habitats in their country over the 20th century. They share their research among each other on the I*EARN conference <iearn.environ>. The final report of the 1997-98 project was presented at the April 1998 Youth CaN event in New York City. In addition to presenters in New York, students and teachers in Russia and Kazakhstan presented via speaker telephone from their countries.
