125 million children globally do not go to school


1/4 adults (872 million people) illiterate i.e. read, write


United Nations Goal> 2015> all children have primary 1-8 education
“ Free” - this will cost 8 billion (U.S.) $$$/ yr 10 year which is equal to 4 Days of global military spending

Oxfam Research Education:


(1) Each additional year of primary school education for mom means a decline of 85 premature child deaths


(2) UN raising average level of education of work force by 1 year increases GDP by 90%
GDP (gross domestic product)
