Youth Summit

in conjunction with 8th I*EARN International Teachers' Conference

and AFRICA Connects Conference

The annual I*EARN Youth Summit will be held at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

The theme for this year's Youth Summit, was decided by a vote conducted from past participants and students that particpate in the Youth forum. The theme - "Unity and Diveristy" reflects the diverse nature of I*EARN and how, as members of varying cultures and nations, we unite together to form the global community known as I*EARN. The aim of this year's Youth Summit is to reinforce and continue to build the collaborative work and community building among the I*EARN youth for civic participation. It is hoped that this year's Youth Summit will be the largest yet, bringing together students from every corner of the I*EARN community.

Students wishing to attend the Youth Summit should register for the conference at http://www.ac.wcape.school.za . For the youth that are under the age of 18 years. There is a required parental release form that your guardian/parent has to fill out in order for you to attend the conference. To view and print the parental release form click here. You must mail or send the parental release form to the iEARN US office prior to attending the conference.

We have provided a list of suggested and required items to bring to South Africa. It will be winter during the conference period. You may also view the list of participants already registered to attend the 5th I*EARN Youth Summit.
