The participation in all four My Hero Learning Circles is running at a very high level. Let’s make sure we keep it going!
By now all teachers have said hello, sent Barry their student names so they can interact on the student forums, completed class surveys and shared other class surveys with your students, created and mailed welcome packages, if you choose to and are able to do so.
The Student Forums are now open in every circle. Only those in the MHM2 student forum have begun to exchange thoughts about heroes. Please make sure that your students make use of this global exchange now as they think about who they will choose share as their hero.
If you have not already done so it is time for each TEACHER to register at the My Hero Project website here:http://myhero.com/go/start/educator.asp
Please remember to check Learning Circle and write down your username and password.
Each student needs to register AS A STUDENT here:http://myhero.com/go/start/
Please remember to have them check learning circle and write down their username and password.
You will notice that as a teacher you have two more clickable buttons, Teacher’s Room and Organizer. It is VERY IMPORTANT that Students register as STUDENTS. And Teacher’s register as teachers! See pictures of each in media files.
Everyone should be exploring the My Hero Project website in class or on their own. www.myhero.com
Click around the different categories to be inspired and get ideas of the kinds of heroes that are on our planet. Then you can figure out how to share the story of YOUR HERO.
In Stories, Art, Films or Audio. Remember, each category has tutorials to walk you through how to upload onto the website when you are completely done. And I am here to help, every step of the way.
To the right of this page you can click on Past Learning Circles to see final projects of classes from Elementary, Middle and High School circles. Click on any Organizer to see what others have done before you.
Also you can click on How to Choose a Hero.
And please click on TIMELINE, also to the right of this page, and print it or save it to refer to it as we go along.
IT IS ALSO GOOD FOR EVERYONE TO CHECK IN at least once a week with their circle and let us know how you are doing.
