Students experiment with 3D software and/or share their ideas for a 3D project that they would like to work on.
Students can now use free software to create 3D models, animations, games, VR experiences or even to design 3D printable objects. In this project students share their ideas and their achievements. They can share their early attempts and their hopes for what they would like to do with 3D in the future. Collaboration projects (animations, games, etc.) are also welcome!
How to get started:
3) Install the software (Blender is free!) and let your students experiment with it
5) Give feedback to other schools, ask questions and form connections!
Introduce the students to any 3D software (Blender is a good place to start and it is free, Tinkercad is also popular). Use the tutorials posted on our page or find one online.
Students will gain insight into 3D design and also IT. They should try to create images of their work and share them on our iEarn page. They may also decide to 3D print something or create a video or game.
Students are encouraged think about how their 3D ideas can contribute to the world. It could be an animation, game, 3D printed object or something else.
