Adobe Youth Voices continues to grow in Belarus!

An Adobe Youth Voices presentation "Creating with Purpose: Adobe Youth Voices of youth for sustainable development" was organized by WEP_19 (Minsk Gymnasium 19) at the Festival of Non-formal Education (Minsk 8.12.2012).  See photos.

On September 14, 2012, the iEARN-Belarus team hosted an Adobe Youth Voices Workshop  “New Resources for Teachers Professional Development and Students Digital Storytelling” at Minsk National Technical Library. 

Teachers and students from Svisloch, Minsk, Mogilev, Molodechno, Machulischi, Svisloch, Kostyukovichi, Kopyl, Borovlyany, Volkovysk and Bobruisk joined the workshop. They were welcomed by Adobe Youth Voices participants of the previous years – team TEGA, Elena Hramtsevich from Gymnasium-College of Arts in Molodechno, Maria Rusak – project coordinator of the Youth International Education Club NEWLINE – shared their experience, tips and guides for the new educators.

Practical training for the participants was organized by Svetalana Yakubovskaya, coordinator of the WEP_19 Internet Club of the Resource Center for ESD of Minsk Gymnasium 19.

From November 12-17, Adobe Youth Voices educators from Belarus held several workshops during the Global Education Conference! Anna Savchenko, a young documentary maker and AYV educator presented few ideas how to help students make their videos powerful (screenshot attached). Additionally, Dmitry Savelau spoke about images and gave few tips on how to make sure students' messages are clear and effective in their visual materials.

On November 16, Sofia Savelava presented the Adobe Youth Voices Program at the Conference on Education at the Mogilev Regional Institute for Education Development in Belarus.

On November 16th, 2012 Braslav Gymnasium took part in 2012 Virtual iEARN Conference and Youth Summit. Olga Luksha (coordinator of iEARN Projects Club in Braslav Gymnasium) with the help of Cheslava Zakrevskaya and Alexandra Zhilevich (teachers of Braslav Gymnasium) presented a session "iEARN Club."  See photos.

And, on December 5, 2012 iEARN-Belarus team held a webinar for Russian speaking educators participating in Adobe Youth Voices. This was the first in the series of webinars creating space for educators from Russia, Belarus and other countries to share their experience of working in Adobe Youth Voices and ideas how to get their students to collaborate with each other in creating youth media.
