iEARN-Moldova launching civic engagement initiative with iEARN teams in Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine

The iEARN-Moldova team has been awarded a State Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund grant from the US Department of State to implement the i-ENGAGE project in collaboration with educators from iEARN Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus. The project was selected from among 800 applications received from worldwide alumni.

12 iEARN teachers from Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus will be travellng to Moldova on July 6-9 to participate in a launch event for the project. Regional project partners include Natalia Cherednichenko iEARN-Ukraine Country Coordinator, Pavle Tvaliashvili, iEARN Georgia Country Coordinator and Lyudmila Dementyeva, iEARN-Belarus Country Coordinator.

Project beneficiaries, 35 Moldovan teachers with very little or no experience in project based instruction, will partner with experienced iEARN educators and learn how to implement iEARN projects which focus on the civic engagement component.
