Nadia Haddad's iEARN Palestine Testimonial

I want to write about my personal experience with iEARN program, from the first meeting in 2012 with my teacher Samah Haddad to this moment that I became one of iEARN family.

At the beginning, I attended more than one workshop and meeting with our coordinator Mrs. Kahraman Arafeh and Mr. Hasan Karablieh, she trained us as a group with my colleges how to use the iearn.org website and she introduced this program for us.

The aim of this program which constructed on project based learning. We met to share our experiences for using out account on the iearn.org website and how to train out students to use and post their activities with others.

عملنا شبكة من الطالبات والمعلمات لتغيير أسلوب التعليم من التقليدي الى التعاوني عن طريق هذه الشبكة حيث تنقل الأشخاص من المركزية الى اللامركزية .. بدانا العمل انا والمعلمة ومجموعة من الطالبات باستخدام ICT بتعاون وكفريق واحد على تنفيذ فعاليات وأنشطة في مادة اللغة الأنجليزية سأذكرها في حينها . ومن منطلق إيماني بالفكرة شاركت في مؤتمر الأيرن الذي عقد في قطر بمشاركة 72 دولة على حسابي الخاص الذي أضاف خبرات واسعة في كيفية الاتصال والتواصل في نشر الأفكار التي تخدم العملية التربوية حيث زودنا بمهارات في استخدام الرسم والتصوير الفوتوغرافي واستخدام برامج الحاسوب واساليب في اعطاء المعلومة للطالبات عن طريق مشاركتهن بها . وقد تلقينا شهادات مشاركة نعتز بها

This kind of sharing knowledge globally helps me add ways and methods to my strategies process interacting with other teachers to exchange experiences. In order to make learning circles, share knowledge, information, discuss some issues, revise their lessons, post their personal statements, ask about something they've learned in their classes and to make competitions and quizzes.

iEARN is one of the learning tools which helps to learn better, to use the language well and for enhancing communication. In my opinion it is a chance to engage students in a manner that might not be entirely possible in traditional classes.

تتميز شبكة iEARN أنها تربوية وتقدر العمل التعاوني التشاركي بعيدة عن التطرف او العنصريه وفيها حرية للتفكير بغض النظر عن الجنس أو اللون أو الدين ... وهذا عزز من أسلوب حل المشكلات سواء في مجال التعلم والتعليم أو التواصل المجتمعي او إخراج الابداعات والمهارات لدى الطالبات مما يعزز شخصيتهن ليصبحوا عنصرا مفيدا في المدرسة بدلا من تلقي المعلومات دون مشاركة ذاتية ..هذا المشروع عزز أسلوب الادارة لدي لأنتقل من مسمى مديرة الى قائدة تشارك الطاقم التعليمي كافة اهتماماته واعماله . من خلال الاجتماعات والنشاطات التشاركية والنقاشات التي تثمر عن حلول لأي قضية في المجتمع المدرسي .. كذلك ساعدنا على دمج ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة في الأنشطة المدرسية .

And finally using iEARN seems to have a important impact on language learning. It allows students to engage with peers in a familiar format and for an academic purpose. The students seem to enjoy checking, reading, and writing completely in English. Even students who were typically reserved and non-participatory in class quickly emerged as highly productive students in this environment.

حضر المؤتمر حوالي 700 مدرس وطالب ومتخصص في تكنولوجيا المعلومات من أكثر من 70 بلداً، اجتمعوا في قطر للمشاركة والتعلم , وكيفية استخدام التكنولوجيا في الصفوف الدراسية. امتد المؤتمر على مدار خمسة أيام، حيث شاركنا في برنامج مكثف من الأنشطة والجلسات التفاعلية وحلقات النقاش واختتموا المؤتمر في حفل ختامي.

لقد حظيت بفرصة المشاركة في جلسات نقاش حول ادوات الإعلام الإجتماعي في التعليم. استفدت من هذه الجلسة بالحديث عن النمط الجديد من الإعلام و الخيال بما يناسب أجيال اليوم ,

The Conference was attended by about 700 teachers and students specializing in information technology from more than 70 countries, met in Qatar to participate and learn, and how to use technology in the classroom. Congress extended over five days, where we participated in an intensive program of activities and interactive sessions, panel discussions and wrapped up the conference in a closing ceremony.

I've had the opportunity to participate in discussion sessions on social media in education tools. I benefited from this session by talking about the new style of the media and the imagination to suit the generations of today.

• ناقشنا التطورات المبتكرة في التواصل وتكنولوجيا المعلومات في ثورة الإعلام الإجتماعي التي تربط المدرسين والطلاب بالطرق الجديدة التي تتطلب إعادة التفكير في الأنماط القديمة للتعلم والتعليم .كما تطرقنا إلى سلبيات وإيجابيات وسائل الإعلام الإجتماعي وناقشنا كيفية الإستفادة منها في وسائل هادفة في الصفوف الدراسية
• تم الاتفاق على بناء مشاريع أخرى سيتم العمل عليها بالتشارك مع الدول المشاركة في المؤتمر .
  كما شهدنا مشروعاً ملهماً يعتمد على الإنترنت الذي قدّم أرشيف آلاف القصص عن الأبطال من مختلف مناحي الحياة. تضمنت الجلسة أفلاماً وثائقية حول الناس الذين أثروا على المجتمع

The Impact

We discussed the innovative developments in communication and information technology in the social media revolution that connects teachers and students new ways that require rethinking the old patterns of learning and education. As we discussed the pros and cons of social media and we discussed how to use them in ways meaningful in the classroom.

It was agreed to build other projects it will work in partnership with the countries participating in the conference. As we have seen inspiring project depends on the Internet Archive, which gave thousands of stories about heroes from all walks of life. The meeting included documentaries about people who have influenced society.

• This experience benefits me in many ways to develop my Management methods, and for my teacher how teaching process to be based on projects, applying, sharing and collaboration and all of these things help us to make a big change with our methods and ways in our school.

• Using iEARN seems to have a important impact on language learning. It allows students to engage with peers in a familiar format and for an academic purpose . We made a school garden planting trees and flowers working with all students in order to make our school green and attractive. Many activities have been made in our school such as:

• ضمن التعلم بالمشاريع اعداد Big Book for Grammar حيث تم مراجعة English Grammar عن طريق حل المشكلات بايجاد اهم نقاط الضعف لدى الطالبات في فهم قواعد اللغه الانجليزيه واعداد مرجع لهذه المشكله ووضع تمارين اضافيه لاثراء المنهاج ومراجعته.
• Folk Customs around the Globe: in this project we share something about our customs and traditions photos and information with all iEARN members who works on this project
