Second Annual International iEARN Adobe Youth Voices Media Festival
We are pleased to announce that the Adobe Youth Voices Program will be sponsoring a special Adobe Youth Voices International Media Festival at the 2011 iEARN Conference and Youth Summit in Taiwan, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Grand Auditorium. The festival will highlight selected youth-produced media created by young people in the Adobe Youth Voices program in iEARN over the past year, and may also feature sample media created by youth across the entire Adobe Youth Voices global community.
In order to have work considered for the film festival, participating iEARN Adobe Youth Voices teams must submit an online copy of their work no later than June 1st to be reviewed by the festival's international selection committee.
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY STUDENT'S ADOBE YOUTH VOICES MEDIA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE FESTIVAL?
To be eligible, educators must already be a certified participant in the Adobe Youth Voices program. Login to the Adobe Youth Voices Community Site and submit your completed AYV youth-produced media in the iEARN Adobe Youth Voices Media Gallery [you will see an option to "Post" on the right side of the page] As part of the submission process, you will be asked to fill out a form with background info about your media project(s). If you are a trained Adobe Youth Voices educator and have not yet registered for Adobe's AYV Community website, contact Lisa Jobson.
The festival screening committee will review media submitted into that folder, and will contact you if it is chosen to be screened at the festival. Media being submitted should follow the same guidelines as all other Adobe Youth Voices work, including securing licensing agreements, model releases, and including appropriate crediting of youth artists and the AYV program on the media itself. See www.us.iearn.org/ayv/ayvmedia.html for more on general AYV submission guidelines in iEARN, including downloadable license agreements, model releases, and logos.
Please note that for media that is chosen for the festival screening, in addition to posting it on the Adobe Youth Voices Community Site, we will need a high quality version - either sent via postal mail or yousendit.com. We will follow up with teams individually about submitting a festival quality version of their work.
Please feel free to be in touch at [email protected] if you have any questions or would like further information.
We look forward to seeing your Adobe Youth Voices youth-produced media!
