Videoconference between Karachi, Pakistan and Miass, Russia, June 21

Students in Pakistan and Russia participated in a Skype session on June 21, 2011. They shared their folk tales and asked each other about their folk tales characters, culture, traditions and festivals.  The exchange developed out of the iEARN online collaborative project Folk Tales/Storytelling: Past and Present Project.

The Pakistani students are participating in a two-year after school English language teaching program being implemented in three different centers. Read More about their involvement in the English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) >

The Russian students are part of the First Educational Summer Camp "Magister IQ," organized within the governmental program "Gifted students." Teachers of different subjects were invited to teach summer camp students. But, instead of typical school subjects, students have the opportunity to participate in a range of creative activities, including iEARN projects.
