SIE/iEARN-Pakistan hosts Access Summer Institute 2012

SIE/iEARN-Pakistan is proud to have collaborated with the US Embassy Islamabad and Consulates in Karachi, Peshawar and Lahore, to present a robust event this English Access Summer Institute (ASI)-2012, themed as Access to Success.

A group of 100 dynamic students coming from 19 different locations around Pakistan participating in 15 different Access programs nationally convened in Islamabad from 17th-29th June 2012. This includes Peshawar, Lahore, Islamabad, Pindi, Quetta, Pishin, Hyderabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Jacobabad, Abbottabad, Malakand, Manshera, DG Khan, Lodhran, Muzzafarabad , Muzzafargarh, Skardu. Khaplu.

The iEARN team at Society for International Education worked hard to deliver an exciting program that consisted of a complete range of formal and informal activities. A team of highly experienced professionals facilitated more than 25 concurrent workshops and presentations and 11 whole group combined sessions. There was a strong emphasis throughout the institute on engaging students in cutting edge 21st century learning skills, that includes online project based learning, working collaboratively, team building, integrating technology in all four language skills.

iEARN centres around the world partnered and re-tweeted the event live to reach out to a wider global audience. The #accesspigeons were among the top four twitter trends in Pakistan.
