Workshop and Exhibition in Tunisia - Building Intercultural Dialogue through CSYN

The Tunisian Education and Resource Network (TEARN) is hosting a three day workshop for teachers and students from June 6 - 8, 2014 in Hammamet as part of the Chris Stevens Youth Network (CSYN). During the workshop, alumni teachers will introduce new teachers to iEARN and the CSYN program and give training on how to use the iEARN Collaboration Centre for global, project-based learning. 30 teachers attending the event will deepen their understanding of PBL, cultural exchanges, and using IT in education.

In addition to the educator workshop, 15 high school students will present their global project work as part of a final exhibition and discuss the skills, experiences, and understandings they gained from participating in a multicultural exchange. Workshop participants will join from around Tunisia, including Tunis, Ariana, Sousse, Sfax, Sidi Bouzid, and Medenine. Representatives from the Ministry of Education and the U.S. Embassy will also attend the student exhibition event to celebrate the success of the students' project work.

The Chris Stevens Youth Network is made possible through funding from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Send greetings to the participants via the iEARN Teachers Forum on the Collaboration Centre.
